The head of the department is Mikhail A. Bukharkin, a doctor of the highest qualification category.

The traumatology department was founded in 1953 on the basis of the MRKB.

Currently, the trauma department is located on the fifth floor of a nine-story surgical building and is deployed for 35 beds.

The department provides specialized medical care of traumatological and orthopedic profile to rural and urban population of the republic.

• Doctors - 3 people;
• Nurses - 7 people;
• Junior medical staff - 7 people.

The main directions in the provision of medical care:

All types of operations for limb fractures (intramedullary, extramedullary osteosynthesis) and Ilizarov CDO for uncrossed fractures complicated by chronic osteomyelitis.

Types of VMP

The Department of Traumatology annually performs about 500 high-tech operations, including hip replacement - 380, knee replacement - 120.

Diagnostic capabilities include:

1. Radiological (CT, MRI of the musculoskeletal system)
2. Diagnostic arthroscopy

Hospitalization to the department is carried out as planned daily, according to the hospitalization schedule, in the direction of the republican consultative polyclinic with a list of tests.
