The head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov: "We must improve the availability and effectiveness of medical care"

The head of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov on 24 July held a working meeting on the development of the health system in the country.

A key topic of discussion was standards of medical care and the targets for each area of the project, including primary health care, treatment of cardiovascular and oncological diseases, the development of children's health.

The head of the region stressed that the development of medical care in the framework of large-scale national project "Health", initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is one of the key priorities of the Government of the Republic.

"The main goal set by the President, is to make medical aid of high quality and accessible, including in rural areas. Everyone should see a real change in the health system, to be able to get medical help on time and in full," - reminded Vladimir Volkov.

The head of the Republic noted that in order to accomplish this task, it is necessary to deeply analyze the results of all medical institutions and on this basis to find solutions that will increase both the availability and effectiveness of medical care.

The key role here is assigned to the so-called primary level: health posts, outpatient clinics and polyclinics. In the framework of the national project network feldsher-midwife stations will be expanded. This spring, a new clinic opened in the village of Krasnoarmeyskoe Torbeevskaya district. Fall earn clinics in Adach Kadoshkinsky district and Batoshevo Atyashevskiy district. However, as emphasized by Vladimir Volkov, the issue of staffing rural medical posts remains acute, paramedics is not enough, the Ministry of health of the Republic with this problem yet failed.

This year, 10 medical institutions of Mordovia to join the project "Lean hospital". Among them – Temnikovsky district hospital, Atyashevskiy district hospital, Torbeevskaya, Kovylkinsky, Krasnoslobodsky and Komsomol on hospitals, Kochkurovskiy POLIKLINIKA, Detskaya POLIKLINIKA № 1 of Republican clinical hospital No. 1 in Saransk. The project aims to share the flow of patients, reduce queues at the reception and on reception to the doctor, to save time and health of each patient.

In the framework of the national project, a large program will be developed to combat cardiovascular disease. This year the new equipment will arrive in the cardiovascular centres of the Republican hospital № 4 and Komsomolsk on the hospital.

Equally important direction of the national project – the fight against cancer. In Saransk the construction of a new building of the Republican Oncology center, currently is the purchase of equipment for this medical institution for the sum of 190 million rubles, is preparing to open a center for outpatient cancer care on the basis of Krasnoslobodskaya on the hospital.

Work is another program of the national project "the Development of children's health." This year for the provision of children's polyclinics and outpatient departments of district and Interdistrict hospitals of the Republic will receive more than 60 million rubles.

Also currently purchasing equipment for children's polyclinic on street Volgograd in Saransk within the framework of the Federal targeted investment program – the construction of the facility ends this year.

In addition, before the end of the year in Saransk work adult clinic in the residential complex "Yubileiny" on its equipment funds allocated from the Reserve Fund of the Government of the Russian Federation is 191,1 mln. The corresponding decree signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's July 20, 2019.
