In the capital of Mordovia on September 19 is held the interregional scientific-practical conference. Its theme — "Modern medical-diagnostic technologies in surgery and intensive care". Scientific-practical conference dedicated to the memory of surgeon, former chief physician of the Republican emergency hospital and Republican hospital No. 3 of Sergei Katkov. The doctor died in March 2018 at the age of 52 years.

In the opening of the conference took part the Minister of health of Mordovia, Oleg Markin, Deputy Chairman of the government Galina Litvinova, professors and surgeons from leading medical and educational institutions of Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Kazan, and Ulyanovsk.
