Mordovia Republican Central Clinical Hospital - is the largest state multidisciplinary medical institution in the republic, providing specialized inpatient medical care in the main areas of surgery, therapy, neonatology, obstetrics and gynecology, including high-tech, as well as consultative and diagnostic assistance to residents of the Republic of Mordovia and nearby regions.

MRCCB provides planned and emergency medical care around the clock.

The hospital employs 1,738 employees, including 428 doctors, 694 - nursing staff. Of these, 33 are candidates of medical sciences, 1 is a doctor of medical Sciences, 15 are honored workers of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mordovia, 1 is a people's doctor, 24 are chief freelance specialists in the profiles of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mordovia.

Annually, more than 30 thousand patients receive specialized inpatient medical care at the Mordovian Republican Central Clinical Hospital. The hospital performs about 14 thousand surgical interventions a year, about 3 thousand births are accepted. More than 50 thousand patients receive consultative and diagnostic assistance on the basis of the consultative polyclinic and about 65 thousand patients on the basis of the Department of reproductive health

The hospital's bed stock has increased by 55 beds over the past 4 years, from 845 beds in 2019 to 895 beds in 2023.

The MRCCB has the only specialized departments in the Republic of Mordovia: coloproctology, maxillofacial surgery, otorhinolaryngology, rheumatology, allergology, the Republican Center of Occupational Pathology.

On the basis of the medical and diagnostic building of the hospital, there is a department of remote X-ray shock wave lithotripsy, equipped with a modern lithotriptor, where more than 600 sessions are held annually.

At present, the radiological department is equipped with an expert-class digital X-ray machine, located in an advisory polyclinic, in the hospital - four modern digital X-ray diagnostic complexes, two multispiral 16- and 64-slice computed tomographs, 2 angiographs, a magnetic resonance tomograph, a digital X-ray machine unique for the Republic of Mordovia an orthopantomograph designed for panoramic and tomographic imaging of the entire jaw area, temporomandibular joints and paranasal sinuses. The radiological department is also equipped with a mobile X-ray television set with a C-arc designed for X-ray and X-ray examinations and interventional procedures under X-ray control in surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, urology, neurosurgery.

The clinical and diagnostic laboratory of the MRCCB is the largest and most modernly equipped laboratory in the republic, performing about 2 million studies per year, which are carried out on expert-class equipment: a biochemical analyzer that has an expanded biochemical menu that allows for ion-selective analysis, drug monitoring; a hematological analyzer, an automatic bacteriological analyzer that identifies more than 450 types of microorganisms, etc.

Thanks to modern equipment and highly qualified specialists, new, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment have been introduced and widely used in the surgical departments of the hospital.

In cardiovascular surgery–endovascular thrombextraction in acute ischemic stroke, coronary myocardial revascularization with angioplasty in combination with stenting in ischemic heart disease, coronary myocardial revascularization with coronary artery bypass grafting in ischemic disease and various forms of combined pathology, endovascular, surgical correction of cardiac arrhythmias without implantation of a cardioverter-defibrillator in adults;

In traumatology, joint replacement, endoscopic arthroscopy and reconstructive plastic surgery on the bone and joint system.

In neurosurgery, microsurgical operations on the spine, brain and spinal cord using an operating microscope and a neuronavigation system, spinal fusion with replacement and stabilizing cages, telescopic implants on the cervical and thoracic spine, reconstructive cranioplasty of complex defects and deformities of the cranial vault;

In the Department of Urology - reconstructive plastic surgery on the organs of the urinary and reproductive system using endoscopic equipment;

In the otorhinolaryngological department - minimally invasive endoscopic operations on the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, reconstructive plastic surgery on the larynx and trachea for neoplasms, hearing-improving and hearing-preserving operations on the middle ear; in maxillofacial surgery; plastic surgery for congenital and acquired defects and deformities of the maxillofacial region.

In 2020, a Regional vascular Center was opened on the basis of the MRCCB, which is the most important link in the unified system of modern cardiac surgical care for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases in the republic. As a result of the functioning of the RSC, the number of operations for coronary myocardial revascularization using angioplasty in combination with stenting for coronary heart disease increased by 26.0% from 1,212 to 1,527 per year for the period 2020-2022. In the conditions of the Department of X-ray surgical methods of diagnosis and treatment of the Regional Vascular Center, a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic X-ray endovascular interventions are performed: coronary angiography, aortography, angiography, angioplasty of the coronary arteries, including stent implantation and other techniques. In 2022, endovascular thrombectomy was introduced in acute ischemic stroke. A total of 11 operations were performed.

In February 2020, on the basis of the consultative polyclinic, a cardiology office of dispensary observation was organized in order to ensure continuity after inpatient treatment and control of dispensary observation of patients who have undergone acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, high-tech surgical interventions for coronary myocardial revascularization using PCI-stenting of coronary arteries or aorto-coronary bypass surgery.

Telemedicine consultations of cardiologists of the cardiology office of the consultative polyclinic with the districts of the Republic of Mordovia have been organized in order to provide consulting and organizational and methodological assistance in the amount of 1200 per year.
